Is it allowed to buy and wear military beret badges privately?
Purchasing and collecting are legal in Germany. However, publicly wearing them on clothing/uniforms without authorization is punishable as misuse of titles, decorations and Bundeswehr uniforms (§ 132a StGB).
On which side is the beret badge worn in the Bundeswehr?
The badge is always worn on the left side, diagonally above the temple/ear. The beret is traditionally pulled to the right.
