9.0 cm XC90 carbon steel blade with Virobloc locking and beechwood handle
The blade of the Opinel No. 9 is made of high-alloy XC90 carbon steel and can be easily resharpened if needed. It is locked in place using the proven Virobloc system: a simple turn of the safety ring fixes the blade in the open or closed position in a flash. The handle is made of dried, long-stored beechwood and features a special lacquer coating that protects against moisture.
